Nityia Lathan

Nityia Lathan is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Licensed in the state of Florida, with over 10 years of experience working with children and adults. Nitya has earned her a Masters in Science degree from Nova Southeastern University. She has worked throughout Palm Beach County with various agencies providing individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Beginning her career working with the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, she provided support to adolescents involved in the criminal justice system. She later began working for a grant funded program in Palm Beach County designed to prevent and treat behavioral and emotional problems in children and teenagers. Nityia’s work extended to include working with the severe and persistent mentally ill at South County Mental Health, one of the counties largest inpatient/outpatient residential facilities.

About her

Throughout her career working as a licensed clinician, Nityia has utilized various therapeutic techniques tailored to the needs of each client that she has served. These techniques include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Play Therapy techniques. She is committed to taking a collaborative approach in assisting individuals with overcoming challenges and reaching their goals.

Ultimately, Nityia provides a therapeutic nonjudgmental environment that allows client’s the space to be heard, feel empowered, and confident to continue their journey to mental health wellbeing.

Rates are available for clients willing to pay out of pocket. We offer a variety of payment packages.
